It was the most memorable time of my life. It was a touching moment. Because I never thought this day would ever happen. I won’t have to worry about putting gas in my car. I won’t have to worry about paying my mortgage. You know, if I help him, he’s gonna help me.

And just where do you thing your gas money and morgage payment are going to come from?  I never thought this day would ever happen in America either, and it’s still not too late to prevent it. Vote McCain!

When the Redskins win their last home game before the election, the Republicans win the presidency. When they lose, the Dems take the White House. This has held true for the last 17 out of 18 elections to give them over 94% accuracy.

GO REDSKINS!

Heh. Looks as if some college students registered to vote in Virginia and also requested absentee ballots from they were previously registered. And a list of the potential defrauders has been made and sent to registrars and electoral boards.

From The Contemporary Conservative:

“In a State which just three years ago had a statewide election decided by 367 votes out of over two million cast, this is an extremely troubling revelation,” said Wade. Wade’s request to general registrars and local electoral boards in Richmond, Montgomery County, Charlottesville, Fairfax County, Norfolk, and other localities with large student populations, calls for the listed students to be challenged if they present themselves to vote in Virginia on Election Day.

Va. Code 24.2-651 requires that election officials “shall challenge the vote of any person who is listed on the pollbook but is known or suspected not to be a qualified voter” on account of having “previously voted in this election.” Section 24.2-651 still would permit the challenged students to vote in Virginia, but only after signing an affidavit, subject to felony penalties for making false statements, that they have not previously voted in this election, and that they will not vote in this election at any other voting place. “After the election,” Wade explained, “we are going to compare voting records from the two States, and we absolutely will turn over to the State Police the names and addresses of any students who voted twice
– once in Virginia and once elsewhere.”

Go vote! ONE TIME!

Oh really? And just how long did you plan on living?

I don’t understand how a person can think like this or why so many people would support this kind of (im)morality where a living breathing baby doesn’t have a right to be “properly cared for”.

Does God assign a lesser value to the unborn and therefore not consider it murder?

First let’s look at the verses.

22 “If men who are fighting hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman’s husband demands and the court allows. 23 But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise.

First notice there is no actual mention of the baby dying; death is not mentioned until verse 23 where penalty is discussed. Only of being born. The Hebrew words translated to mean “gives birth prematurely” (some versions translate this as miscarriage) are Yalad(bring forth, went, give birth, bear, become father of, children) Yatsa’ (bring forth, came, came forth). Neither of these words suggest death and in fact are used many times to describe a living creature. I know of only one passage where one of those words is used in connectin with death. Numbers 12:12 and death is specifically named with another word (Muwth). Yatsa’ is only used to describe the dead one being expelled, not to describe death. There is nothing in this passage that implies the baby is dead; only that is has been born.

If God had meant a dead miscarried baby he could have used the Hebrew words for that rather than words for a live birth. He has atleast two words at his disposal for this purpose (nephel and shakol). He didn’t use them, and I think He said what He meant.

So if men fight and the woman is hit and goes into labor and a child is born “but there is no serious injury”–the baby doesn’t die, the woman doesn’t die, no one is disfigured–then there is a fine for causing the premature birth. Other wise if there is serious injury; life for life, eye for eye etc. This passage doesn’t give a lesser punishment for causing a baby to die; it gives the same.

This really is worth 40 minutes of you life. If you don’t think you have 40 minutes, get creative. Turn the volume up and listen while you do dishes, fold laundry, change light bulbs, grade papers… whatever. 40 minutes might seem like a long time but Pastor Kevin Strite is an easy speaker to listen to and it goes by quickly.

It’s best when you hear it as it was said, but since I know some people won’t take the time to listen I’m going to pull out some highlights and give a summary. These are not my ideas, though I wish they were. There are either direct quotes or a paraphrase of what the sermon contains. Please do go listen.

I mentioned in a comment earlier that my girls were working on a report about Obama. The decided to make it into a “newspaper” titled The Revolt. Here are their articles–as they wrote them. They gathered their information from newspapers, Obama’s speech, radio segments, and tons of questions.   You are welcome to address the issues spoken about on a level appropriate for children. Inappropriate comments will be edited. So here it is: Obama from the perspective of two children living with Republitarian and me. :)

This is Obama… is he going to be our next presidential failure?

Obama wants to take the troops out of the war. He is anti-life but he has 2 children of his own, 10 and 8. Why does he have children when is anti-life. He wants to use a trillion dollars of our taxes on new government programs. He wants to spread the wealth; take your hard earned money and give it to people who didn’t work for it. Ask yourself if you are voting for Obama, why do I want him on the office?

Racists voting for Obama

Yes, it is true many blacks vote for Obama just because he is black. They have no clue of what he wants to do. Republicans preformed a test. They asked 3 blacks and they were voting for Obama, but they agreed with McCain’s policies. But get this, they thought that Obama made a good choice of Sarah Palin for VP.

Comments on Obama here in Harrisonburg

4 people would like to thank him for coming to the Valley and recognizing the middle class people.

A man wold feel better if he just left. He also said socialist run countries never do well.

One man said he wants to make an honest living and take care of his family and not be forced to help the government.

Another lady wanted to know if Obama wuld give some his money to help spread the wealth and to go towards all the new programs.

And I want to know where he is going to get all that money to do all those new programs

I will admit that he is a very good speaker.

You want Obama for president?

A lady was carrying a John McCain sign when she was attacked by a liberal and was beaten with the stick her sign was on .

A young girl went to school with Sarah Palin shirt. She was picked on and bullied around.

Now think about Obama winning. He has friends who are terrorists. He wants to spread the wealth. Now Obama has voters who beat up McCain voters. The cheat on voting. If Obama looses they might riot, destroy property and steal. But we have SWAT team on stand by. Police are ready.

If I were old enough to vote I would vote for McCain, not because he is white, but I agree with him. What if we lose the freedom of speech and religion with Obama Living in the white house?

Taxes

A person goes to work and works hard. Now he is taxed. He pays his bills and buys food and that too is taxed. If he holds on to it so when he dies his children can have the money he worked for, before the children have it it is taxed again. Now with Obama as president the taxes will be higher so he can spread the wealth.

How will Obama change America?

During his speech on Tuesday he said America could not afford to elect John McCain as president. He doesn’t want hardworking families to lose their life savings as well as giving 95% of Americans a tax cut for hardworking families. He wants to build solar panels and wind turbines. Obama wants tot give children a good education and raise teacher salaries. For national service he will make it so you can go to collage. He also wants to have the Iraqi government to help in the war. He wants to end old government plans and spend a trillion dollars on new plans.
He says that wall street was to blame for the economy crisis. And get this, he wants to get rid of tererrorists. But he has a friend; his name is John Ayres and he helped bomb the Pentagon. So is he going to let his friend go?
Listen to this we can’t afford to have Obama as the president. How is he going to get all the money for his ideas.

First let me say that I don’t approve of shooting people and a sign is a pretty dumb thing to use that kind of force over. I think it’s much better to call the police when that kind of thing happens. I also think it’s stupid to go mess with someone’s property and vandalize it.

You can’t go around running into people’s yards yelling “This is for Obama!” and destroying things. People have a right to protect themselves and their property.

I’m glad no one was seriously hurt and this whole thing could have been avoided had these kids not been acting like thugs.

The police report is good reading.

It was always up to me and my brother explaining what was going on to my parents…. it almost feels like a parent child conversation except I’m the parent and they’re the child… I’ll explain values and principles and they understand that more than anything else

I said to her that if you vote for senator Obama, you know, maybe you don’t have to buy me that extra sweater come the fall. Definitely call them a lot, they love the attention. … I also told them I may not in the future help them with text messaging or TiVo.

It was a course of conversations I think. It started with me yelling over the phone at them. I yelled at my parents for not registering to vote….

“How do you tell a communist? Well, it’s someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It’s someone who understands Marx and Lenin.”

–President Ronald Reagan

HT to SWACgirl for the quote

“To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully,” the Democratic presidential candidate wrote in his memoir, “Dreams From My Father.” “The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists.”

To Too bad this doesn’t hold true in politics.

If it were Obama would not be the Democratic Presidential nominee. His supporters and campaign didn’t appear to have any problems using fraud  to win the nomination and it looks like they are set up to win the presidency the same way. Just take a look at the way they were willing to cheat their own party.

“After studying the procedures and results from all 14 caucus states, interviewing dozens of witnesses, and reviewing hundreds of personal stories, my conclusion is that the Obama campaign willfully and intentionally defrauded the American public by systematically undermining the caucus process,” she said.

In Hawaii, for example, the caucus organizers ran out of ballots, so Obama operatives created more from Post-its and scraps of paper and dumped them into ice cream buckets. “The caucuses ended up with more ballots than participants, a sure sign of voter fraud,” Long said.

In Nevada, Obama supporters upturned a wheelchair-bound woman who wanted to caucus for Hillary, flushed Clinton ballots down the toilets, and told union members they could vote only if their names were on the list of Obama supporters.

In Texas, more than 2,000 Clinton and Edwards supporters filed complaints with the state Democratic Party because of the massive fraud. The party acknowledged that the Obama campaign’s actions “amount to criminal violations” and ordered them to be reported to state and federal law enforcement, but nothing happened.

Go read the rest; those quotes were just the tip of the iceburg.

With a past like this and the kind of things we’re hearing about ACORN I want to know why we should accept an Obama win, should it happen. Pffft!

That’s right. Just take the day off. It’s not like you’re gonna need that money anyway. The great Obama will take it from some wealthy person and give it to you if he wins. So invest in your future and take the day off.

When an Obama effigy was hung from a tree in Oregon and in Ohio we could all recognize that it was no laughing matter and was not in good taste. It wasn’t called art; it was called hate.

Will the same standard apply here?
