OK, Liberals. It’s your time to shine.

I want to see someone lose a job.

I want to see boycotts.

I want to see hate mail.

I want to see outraged blog posts.

I want to see this man shut down. There should be no place for this in politics.

Right now.

    You’re right Megan, here goes:

I think Jesse Jackson should lose his job,

I plan to boycott Jesse Jackson every time our paths cross,

While I don’t do hate well, I really didn’t like Jesse Jackson to begin with,

    This blog post is outraged,

I promise I will not purchase a Jesse Jackson product, eat at a Jesse Jackson restaurant, listen to him on the radio, or wear his brand clothes, that ought to help,

And I support Barack Obama when he “has urged greater emphasis on fatherhood, advised parents to choose reading books over playing video games and most recently told young students to stick with school and forget about a career as a rap star or professional basketball player.” (this from the article to which you linked)

I honestly believe that Jackson should be joined in a room (soundproof)by all the other purveyors of social division for their personal gain such as Limbaugh, Sharpton, OReily, Hannity, Bortz, Imus, etc… far far away from everyone, to allow people the opportunity to listen to candidates without the noise machine attempting to direct thought and opinion.

  2. Whackette on July 10th, 2008 9:00 am

Oh, I forgot. I also want to see protests organized and maybe some marches.

  3. Hard Right Rudder on July 10th, 2008 9:13 am

Lowell was on a roll and, surprisingly, making a lot of sense for someone of his caliber. Then he went on his left wing rant about Hannity and Rush and O’Reilly and Imus “purveying” social division for personal gain. What a little pinhead.

Telling the truth, settinf forth your own political views, and trying to convince others that you are correct, if you are a conservative, is somehow “purveying social division. If you are a liberal who sometimes masquerades as a nice guy.

  4. Lowell on July 10th, 2008 9:31 am

    Megan,

Would you care to join me in either a protest against marches, or in a march against protesting?

Just need to know which group to activate. :o)

    Sincerely yours,

    Not a Nice Guy Fulk

  5. Whackette on July 10th, 2008 11:06 am

That wasn’t exactly what I had in mind.

And I can’t help but notice that the local liberal blogs are mute on this topic. There haven’t been any rants on RockDem or C6. Where is the outrage at this blatant racism? This is much uglier and disturbing than anything I’ve heard a republican leader say about Obama. Darn, but Republitarian looks mild compared to this! Jackson wants to sexually mutilate a presidential candidate!

Sorry, but a few word tucked away in a comment section just don’t cut it. You didn’t even use an exclamation point or ALL CAPS to express your outrage.

Rudder, be nice. He did include Sharpton as well.

What is it with these liberal spiritual advisers anyway? These “windows to the heart” are revealing filth and decay.

  6. Lowell on July 10th, 2008 11:24 am

Tell you what Megan, what with a crazy day writing orders and all I can’t shoehorn in the necessary emotion. If you would write something up I’ll post it on RockDem as a guest contributor.

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How do you make a symbol for ANGRY FACE?

    (is that any better?)

    Sincerely,

    Not a Nice Guy Fulk

  7. Whackette on July 10th, 2008 11:36 am

    Maybe this >:0

Nice offer, but I’m not a liberal. Thanks though.

  8. Right Field on July 10th, 2008 4:24 pm

You’d see all those things, whackette, if a Republican had said it. Jackson won’t be hurt by this in the least…in fact, there are articles out today explaining how he may actually help Obama by saying what he did! Weird…some might say its downright nuts…

  9. zen on July 10th, 2008 7:41 pm

For those claiming a double standard here, or selective outrage, why not truly draw a parallel? Instead of the “what if” game, why not find an example of an offensive Republican comment, spoken while in defense of black people.

  10. Right Field on July 10th, 2008 8:49 pm

Do you really believe that there is no double standard at work? Do you really think the reaction is the same when a Democrat says something offensive versus a Republican? Even a liberal partisan has to recognize that the two aren’t treated the same way…

Besides that, you really think Jackson was defending black people? He said he wanted to tear the nuts off of the first black Presidential candidate with a good shot at the highest office in the land, one who has the strong support of the African American community. Jackson wasn’t defending black people…he was defending victimhood and his role as a perpetuator of racial division. Obama wins, and folks like him suddenly lose much of their relevance, their power to foment the very division they claim they’re trying to heal.

Just for fun I checked the archives of BNN. When Huckabee made his NRA joke bloggers from BOTH sides ridiculed him and called him stupid. I haven’t seen that this time. I believe what Jackson said was worse, yet the liberals are pretty much staying mum.

Based on what DID happen when a republican said something stupid and the liberals turning a blind eye to this or even saying it was a good thing I think it’s fair to say a double standard has been implemented. Forget the “what if” game. Just look at history.

  12. wildkids7 on July 12th, 2008 10:34 pm

I agree Right Field. If someone else would have said that, they practically have him/her hung. But for some odd reason…Jesse for some reason, isn’t catching the %$@& he should be gettin’.

BTW; I never liked him before and I surely dont like him now.

  13. Right Field on July 12th, 2008 11:16 pm

I think there are several reasons the good reverend isn’t catching much flak, especially from the Left. For one thing he’s a Democrat…he’s also a liberal one. They had no problem attacking Zell Miller, a conservative Democrat, nor do they mind assailing Joe Lieberman, who leans right on foreign policy. But, they ordinarily don’t like to attack their own, so to speak.

Honestly though, and I hate to say it, but I think the biggest reason you’re not hearing much if any outcry from the Left is the racial component. Its that PC culture we’ve fostered, so well-represented in that “Black Hole” idiocy that’s also posted here. I truly believe there is a hesitancy to criticize him as harshly as is deserved because people are afraid of being labeled racist because of it. I know some are going to suggest that is ludicrous, but there are a lot of folks out there who are very preoccupied with race, to the point where all they see is the color of someone’s skin. They’re not racists…they’re just SO focused on whether or not they’re offending anyone that it becomes all they see.

Anyway, I never liked him either, and I’m not afraid to say that.

Jesse Jackson isn’t the spoke person for black people. These two morons on the city council aren’t spokesmen for black people. Not one of the afforementioned people are spokesmen for liberals. They’re simply people who get more media coverage than everyone else.

This story is nothing more than this:
“Hey, check out these 2 very stupid men — one is a judge and one is on a county council, wow!”

  15. Dan on July 14th, 2008 3:52 pm

Ignore my previous comment, I accidently hit the back button before I posted and I was at the bottom of the wrong page.

  16. Whackette on July 14th, 2008 3:59 pm

Post it where you want it and I’ll erase these if you like.

  17. Right Field on July 14th, 2008 7:21 pm

    Dan,

Who said they were spokesmen for black people and/or liberals? Nobody said the the Left wants to make Obama a eunuch, just that they’ve been largely silent regarding the issue. Would they be that quiet if Joe Lieberman had said it? McCain? Hannity?

And as far as the “black hole” thing is concerned, it is indeed much more than just two men saying something stupid. They managed to find something racist with the term because it has “black” in it…you don’t find anything ridiculous with that? It doesn’t serve as an example of the PC craziness that has overtaken this country?

I’m as liberal as they come, but I have no love for Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton. I’d post it somewhere if I’d known about it sooner or had somewhere to post it. I never knew about this.

  19. Whackette on July 15th, 2008 12:27 pm

    Does anyone like Jesse Jackson?

Maybe no one is squawking over this because they all knew he was bat poop crazy to begin with.

  20. Emmy on July 15th, 2008 1:09 pm

I think that may be the case.
